A Heartfelt Gift
Art.i.choke Felt Shop
Feeling cold, eh? Time to invest in a fabulous pair of gloves and even a gorgeous hat then.
If you want the ‘Wow, where did you get that?’ factor out of your purchases, or are looking for a unique and sophisticated gift for a special somebody, a little felt shop in Beyoglu might just be the right place to dig in.
Almost as playful as its name, Art.i.choke is a heaven dedicated entirely to designs of felt handmade out of merinos and other natural fibres.
Located in a cool 19th century building renovated with great charm, the ground floor is where the owner Oyku Thurston sells felt hats, cushions, gloves, dresses, slippers, bags, and most cutesy of all, babywear that she creates on the upper floor workshop using organic merinos, bamboo and silk.
Like the shop’s interior, her designs are a mix of eclectic and modern with a bit of vintage thrown in. Truly timeless pieces in short…
We bet felt never ‘felt’ this cool before.
