Cikare is a new shop run by Gamze and Guniz (hence the name, GG, or ‘square of Ci’), two very competent cooks with Cordon Bleu accolade and years of experience in restaurant business.
Located in the district of once-a-slum-now-fast-turning-into-the-most-desired-postcode-of-Istanbul called Armutlu near Etiler, Cikare girls will turn your culinary fantasies into reality. They offer scrumptious breakfasts, lunch and dinners on-site, or custom-made catering off-site. They even coach those wannabe’s amongst you on opening your own cafe or restaurant.
Go to the shop to buy lovingly handmade pasta such as tagliatelle on the spot, or order your birthday cake and pick it up two days later.
There’s also a table in the middle of the shop which sits 12. If you fancy a night out with friends, (or, indeed, a brunch on a weekend), call them to set the table for you with finger-licking food like mezzes, butter, specialty cheese, homemade breads, and jams, depending on the occasion.
