Bollywood Discotheque
Indian Cultural Center Dance
Scene 1: Boy meets girl under the mango tree.
They fall in love, and the boy starts singing with his friends dancing behind him. But he’s of bad stock for the girl’s family; they object to their love.
Enter the prince: he’s rich and handsome, but heartless. The family chooses him, yet the girl can’t help thinking about the poor boy under the mango tree. She confides to her girlfriends and they all begin to sing and dance to cheer her up.
Scene 2: You’re in Indian Cultural Center joining their dance to the tunes chosen by Darshan.
Newly opened centre is a nirvana in all things Indian: vedic astrology, music, Bollywood dancing, ayurveda…not to mention yoga and meditation, all run by real instructors (not some gym head in a fake environment). They’re soon adding a vegetarian restaurant plus cooking classes to their stock.
Final scene: We all say ‘Hare Krishna!’
