V2K Designers Party
What’s got eight legs and likes to make a big splash? An octopus? Wrong.
It’s the smashing Brit rock group Eight Legs. Likened by some to The Smiths (of Morrissey fame) or The Libertines, this eight-legged, forty-fingered creature strums the guitar in the coolest clubs in London right now. And they’re in town for one night only in the first ‘leg’ of what will soon be a series of designer events by V2K and Power XL Extra Lounge 100.2.
The four boys already have a solid fan base, including Dior Homme ex-creative director Hedi Slimane (who first heard about them at a photo shoot, and liked their music so much that he used their ‘These Grey Days’ in his 2006/7 Menswear show).
The night is full of surprises with Dandy&his friends from Milan’s Plastic Clubs DJ’ing alongside Eight Legs’ live performance. Dandy, himself a designer, recently DJ’ed in New York Fashion Week, and plays at the parties thrown by super stylish clients like Versace, Gucci, Missoni, as well as Elle and Vogue.
