Perfect Finnish
HeliS Designs
You spend the last kuruş in your pocket on the latest pair of shoes, chase hungrily that must have dress, and starve for fashion.
Darling, you could be suffering from ‘fashioexia’.
Why not spend time and money more wisely on things: you’ll use more than once in five years/won’t make you look like Krusty the Clown.
Finnish by origin and now based in Istanbul, Heli (Şengezer) lives in a world of ‘little animals and books’—also the name of her shop on Etsy (a.k.a heaven for handmade things). Elks, pandas, pigs, and even tigers and lions often feature in her kooky creations in the shape of brooches, wallhangings and other ornaments.
Although a ceramicist by training, Heli also designs treasure-like mini book covers with bears, ants, winter forests and naughty girls in scarves smoking, among others. Get one as a gift for your loved one and let him/her fill the blank pages.
That ‘oversize’ hat you bought last season? Lose it, girl, lose it…
