Atolye 5 Swap Party
Fashion is a bit like that new Kate Moss fringe: as soon as it’s cut it’s already too late for anyone else to follow.
Say, you’ve got a pair of aviator shades bought at a Top Gun moment many years ago. By the time you wore them, the trend peaked and was claimed by so many copycats that you became a fashion victim.
What to do? Simple: Take it to a Swap Party and swap it with something.
Brain child of two eco-conscious fashionistas, the event takes place once a month at a secret little art space in Beyoglu called Atolye 5. Shoes, clothes, bags, accessories are the norm, but also on offer are such funky items as blenders, pencil cases, bike helmets, DVD’s, even buttons. The rules? Well, the items to be swapped must be clean, in good condition and (especially for clothes) in various sizes, if possible.
Vintage LV? You never know what treasures you’ll dig in that day.
