A Girl for All Seasons’ and others

We know that you and your BF’s care about style.  (Glamour is your middle name and you know that McQ isn’t another hamburger joint).

So, why not give eachother high-fashion literature gifts this festive season?

The first on our list is ‘A Girl for All Seasons’ by Camilla Morton.  Forworded by none other than Manolo-the-shoe-god-Blahnik himself, it takes a month-by-month approach to the year ahead, and is full of suggestions about how to best spend your time.  (Blahnik appears again later in the book with his secrets on the best ways to enjoy Istanbul, while Paul Smith does London and Matthew Williamson does India).

For a bit of bitchy fashion advice, look nowhere other than ‘Style A to Zoe: The Art of Fashion, Beauty & Everything Glamour‘ by LA’s uber-stylist Rachel Zoe; or check out the fashion fantasia called ‘Stylist: The Interpreters of Fashion‘ written by Sarah Mower, edited by the fashion bible style.com.

Finally, for those who like old-fashioned elegance and charm, ‘Things I Wish my Mother Had Told Me: Lessons in Grace and Etiquette by the fabulous Lucie van der Post gives practical advice (in a very friendly tone) on how to dress chicly, entertain effortlessly; and juggle, life, work, children and relationships effectively.
