Runaway People

AAI Charity Marathon

How are those New Year’s resolutions coming?  If you promised yourself a fitter you for the upteenth time and still did nothing about it, hear this…

There’s a group of people who found a clever solution to their motivation problem: to run for charity.

Adim Adim Initiative (AAI) is a voluntary organisation that teaches you (as its name suggests) step-by-step basics of running, and meets you up with fellow runners of your level.

The groups exercise on weekends in Belgrad Ormani.  You run (or just walk) together with a bunch of supernice and intelligent people: academics, bankers and professional trainers; all volunteers.

Currently, they’re aiming for a charity run called Oger Runtalya taking place in Antalya on Sun. 2 March; and this year’s lucky charity is Turkish Spine Injury Association.

You run and keep fit.  The charity gets its all-too-import cash.  Everyone’s happy…

To learn about AAI, go to
adimadim.org.  Deadline to sign up for Runtalya is Fri., 8 Feb.  To enter, email to info@adimadim.org.
