The Lady Sings
Aoife Jazz Travel Night
Embrace yourselves for yet another ‘smooth operator’ hailing from UK.
Although different in looks from Sade, Aoife (a Scottish/Gaelic name pronounced as ee-fah, by the way) sings smooth jazz and lounge tunes with titles like ‘Always Had A Dream’ and ‘Stranger In Your Arms’.
Counting legends like Marvin Gaye, Ottis Reading, Astrud Gilberto, as well as hot new talents like Alicia Keys and our very own Yasmin Levy among her inspirations, Aoife studied blues, soul and gospel vocals in Goldsmiths College London, finishing it off with advanced jazz in Leeds Music College of her hometown.
With such an impressive voice, she’s sure to get that all important first contract one way or another.
So be there and show your support…
Aoife sings tomorrow, Sun., 2 Nov., at Melek Bar for one night only. İmam Adnan Sok., 12, Beyoğlu. 0212 249 1253 or melekbar.com/tr/. Hear her here for a taster.
