In a world full of cheap plastic stuff from China, a fairy godmother finally decided to grant trendy parents their biggest wish: beautiful toys that won’t poison their kids when they accidentally chew one.
Her name is Inci Turkay, the woman behind Tayga Toys. (Incidentally, she really plays a fairy godmother in a TV show for kids). Tayga is the first toyshop in Istanbul dedicated entirely to chemical-free wooden toys, so no toxic-coloured-Barbies or Warcraft allowed here. Rather, good old pirate ships and fire engines for little princes to gorgeous dollhouses complete with vanity tables for fashionable princesses.
Admit it: you still keep that wooden toy buggy given to you years ago, don’t you?
