Müstamel Eşya Evi is a retreat for such gorgeous Cher-esque ‘curiosity’ items from 50’s-70’s.
Antique glasses and liquor bottles, retro lighting, grandpa chairs, ottomans, and even quirky pieces like measuring tapes, coal irons, and old hamam bowls sit side by side; awaiting treatment (and eventually a new home).
Aslı Kendiroğlu, the architect/owner of Müstamel (which means ‘used’, by the way) has successfully renovated a Grade II listed building complete with a grand fireplace and high ceilings, and turned it into a heaven for all things salvaged, to give them a second chance.
Pick up a vintage dress, bag or accessory—to buy or to rent—for a totally unique look; or just browse them for the pure pleasure of it.
