Tomtom Suites
Life’s full of contradictions: accurate estimates, work-life balance, friendly arguments, terribly nice people, or authentic replica Depeche Mode t-shirts.
A recently-opened boutique hotel, Tomtom Suites, however, is one rare breed that sucessfully combines two opposites: history and modern luxury.
The building dates back to 1800’s and was originally named after French nursing sisters. Located in Tomtom (a ‘mini UN’ district of Istanbul with Italian, Dutch, Russian, British consulates; plus a Spanish chapel all within a few yards of each other), the cultural vibe the suites possess is second to none.
With just 20 rooms and a jaw-dropping terrace bar overlooking Golden Horn, Tomtom’s an oasis of style and tranquility, thanks to its tastefully-restored façade and the understated but high quality interiors of each suite.
Bonus features include floor-heated marble bathrooms, rain showers, and custom-designed Turkish bath robes and towels.
