-in Texas, but behaves like it’s a posh Parisian
-a cult movie that proves ‘like father like daughter’ theory wrong by way of Nastassja Kinski
-an equally cult boutique in the back streets of Galata selling super cool and limited stuff
Designs offered in ParisTexas are by Marc Jacobs, Zucca, Jonathan Saunders, Chloe, Missoni, Karen, Alexander McQueen—we know: we couldn’t believe it either. And mostly for their Japanese client base, so expect slim lines, understated luxury and attention to detail.
But the biggest catch of all is the ‘honmono’ Japanese brands (just means ‘real’; not the Japanese translation for gay, you cheeky). Dresses, shoes, handbags and necklaces by Tsumori Chisato, Isatu, Isa Kamara and the like are true gems; and courtesy of owner Sertaç’s penchant, things you can’t find anywhere else within a thousand kilometer periphery.
They stock end-of season or sample sale surplus, so the prices range from 100 TL for an pair of Isa Kamara ballet pumps to 220 YTL for a Marc Jacobs dress.
