Esme Ertekin Shoes
A bad pair of shoes on a style-savvy girl is like a Mercedes without its silver logo: you instantly feel the ‘miss’.
A ‘hit’ on the foot side, on the other hand, comes courtesy of Esme Ertekin shoes. Sold in lifestyle boutiques (and the glitzy Harvey Nics), the Prussian Queen, Pow Wow, Siberiana, Cleopatra and other Esme shoes and boots with sultry names are designed to kick-start the foot fetishism in you that you never knew existed.
A graduate of Central St. Martin’s, Esme cut her teeth with the likes of Kenzo and Moschino, designing anything from jeans to knitwear to lingerie for their collections. She then launched her own collection, which she still sources and develops working alongside craftspeople in Delhi, Jaipur, Bangkok and Istanbul; using traditional weaving, embroidery and beading techniques.
Spotted a potential Prince Charming while wearing an Esme? Go straight to him, show him your ‘slippers’ and introduce yourself:
‘The name is Ella. Cinder Ella’.
