Stuffed Avocado Lakerda Tartare

”If he were alive, I would serve this for breakfast—or let’s say brunch—for my Dad, and I’m pretty sure he would love it!!  Call us a weird family, because most people would be terrified by the idea of fish for breakfast.  If that’s the case, then this would be a perfect starter or meze for lunch or dinner.  Enjoy and bon appetit!” Dilara Erbay, chef-owner of Abracadabra and creative food artist.

Half an over ripe avocado per person
Red onion
Red pepperoni
Fresh coriander
Lakerda (pickled kingfish/large uskumru)
Lemon or lime (spare a little bit of the skin)
Very good quality virgin olive oil

Skin and cut the avocado lengthwise; deseed it.  Mix chopped coriander, cubed lakerda, lemon or lime with a bit of its skin and olive oil.  Stuff this mixture in the avocado.
