T-shirt Shtick

You thought a t-shirt’s just a sagging piece of cloth you wear to the gym. 

Until you met AmmaveLakin designer t-shirts—so quirky and fashionable that they make any actual exercise irrelevant. 

AVL is the brainchild of Duygu Atacan and Cem Dinlenmiş (she of fashion marketing and he of graphic design background, respectively, with a dedicated fan base in comic magazines), who came up with the idea over coffee while running between Istanbul and New York.

Their t-shirts have been heavily influenced by their Turkish surroundings—’I love çay simit’ being one of our favourites—and is produced in small quantities to keep the limited addition feeling.  They’re soon to launch an online shop where all these goodies will be available.

For now, choose a ‘Mr Robotto’ design for a juicy retro look, or go for a ‘Karababa ve Kedisi’ character for a humorous take on Darth Vader.       

At last, something you can proudly wear and say: ‘My Boyfriend Went to Istanbul and (Thank God) All I Got Was This Wonderful T-shirt!’
