The best decisions seem to be those taken at the spur of a moment.
Ikon, the stylish boutique owned by designer Özlem Ahıakın, is the product of one such decision. Originally a childrenswear designer, Özlem decided that styling the rugrats wasn’t her cup of tea and came up with the idea of Ikon almost overnight.
Today, pieces from 60’s-70’s Chanel, Pucci, Nina Ricci and many other fashion houses find a second lease of life in her shop alongside her own designs, reflecting the ‘today’ bit of the store’s name.
Having been shown most recently in Galatamoda Akaretler for the first time, bold and affordable are the two words that best describe her own designs of summery dresses with delicate details and bodycon pieces…
…which would make our newest style icon Alexa Chung so happy.
